The content of the library instruction session can be tailored to match your learning outcomes. Consider linking the library resources page to WebCT, your course’s web page or syllabus. Faculty are seeing the quality of student papers/projects improving when library instruction is integrated into the syllabus through course related web pages.Provide Hands-on Computer Participation
If your instruction session is reserved in a McKeldin Library lab, students mostly likely will have their own computer to explore resources on their own and ask for one-on-one instruction with a librarian. Request early! McKeldin Library instruction labs are in high demand and so are librarians.Deliver Instruction in Other Locations
Library instruction can happen almost anywhere. Librarians can bring laptops to Internet-wired classrooms. Or, can go to a classroom already equipped. Architecture Librarians can also conduct library instruction in the Conference Room in the Art Library.Develop Effective Research Assignments
Librarians are an excellent resource for developing library assignments. Librarians are glad to work with you in development and review.Create Extra Credit Exercises
