Views of the World's Fairs were photographically reproduced in stereographic form on cards. By inserting a stereograph card in the slot on a viewer, such as this one stamped with a seal identifying the Exposition Universelle Internationale 1900, and looking through the lens, a three-dimensional effect is produced.
