Essays for the Online Exhibition have been written by University of Maryland undergraduate students who participated in an honors seminar, "World's Fairs: Social and Architectural History,"
taught by Associate Professor Isabelle Gournay in 2001 and 2003(with Patricia Kosco Cossard). Honors Program Students with limited prior knowledge of architectural history, closely examined the original graphics and ephemera represented in this online exhibit. Their assignments required research in primary and secondary material from the Architecture Library and other parts of the University of Maryland Libraries. Their work was supervised by Dr. Gournay and Patricia Kosco Cossard, Subject Librarian for Architecture and Historic Preservation.
New and updated essays are added along with this course's offering every other Spring.
