Interim College Park Senate

The Interim College Park Senate was established in October 1970 to carry on the functions previously performed by the University Senate until its successor body, the College Park Campus Senate, could be formed. This was part of efforts to improve the system of campus governance and to reorganize each of the campuses of the University of Maryland system. The records of the Interim College Park Senate consist of agendas, minutes, correspondence, reports, committee files, membership rosters, and newspaper clippings documenting the activities of this temporary body.
