Charge
Coordinate implementation, testing, training and public relations for Ares, Course Reserves Software Management System.
Duties
- Work with ITD, OIT, and Atlas Systems to identify implementation issues that need to be resolved; solicit input from UMCP Reserve staff, CCC and through other means; refer implementation issues to other CP teams if necessary; and make recommendations to ITD. Implementation issues that have an impact on UMCP policies should be reported to the Director of Public Services for further action.
- Coordinate testing efforts including creating and providing documentation for the Ares software system. Work with UMCP Reserve staff to carry out testing as needed.
- Coordinate Ares/Course Reserves training activities, including creating and providing documentation for training efforts.
- Coordinate Public Relations activities working closely with UM Libraries Public Relations Office as needed.
- Subgroup members must be able to devote several hours each week to accomplish this charge.
Membership
The subgroup shall consist of 6-8 members representing the constituency groups affected by the implementation including AST, ITD, Branch Libraries and Faculty.
