1. Topic: Agenda review
Outcome: No changes
2. Topic: Review of Big Ticket Candidates -- IRST and final discussion before voting
Guest: Cindy Todd for IRST
Todd reviewed the 5 IRST Big Ticket titles. Karla presented a Big Ticket request on behalf of Non-Print Media. CMT reviewed voting criteria, and agreed to drop the lowest vote-getter off of each list coming from a collaborative or team (ASTM Standards, Harp Week, Nation Digital Archives, Psych Books). This will still leave CMT with 26 big ticket items to prioritize.
Outcome: Information sharing. Vote sheets will be sent out by the 18th, and are due back to Karla by the end of the 28th. Results will be shared at the CMT meeting on the 29th.
3. Topic: Announcements
- USMERC is considering a proposal to the Council of Library Directors to cancel Lexis Nexus African American due to contractual failure on their end. USMERC is exploring the possibility that Black Thought & Culture may be a good alternative, the consortial cost for the two databases is very similar with Black Thought and Culture costing slightly less than the Lexis Nexus product.
