1. Topic: Agenda review
Outcome: Pop-up: Big Ticket Item: ArtFact and ArtNet (#III)
2. Topic: Review Elsevier announcement Web page
CMT reviewed a draft text of the Elsevier low use/high cost per use webpage and discussed additional means of publicizing the decision.
Outcome: Susanna will revise the draft and the webpage will be prepared for a mid-August release.
3. Topic: ArtFact and ArtNet ArtFact was previously approved as a Big Ticket item, but licensing agreements have
altered. At the time of collaborative Big Ticket voting, Joan had proposed ArtNet as an alternative. She would now like to substitute it (for less money) for ArtFact.
Outcome: Given these extenuating circumstances, CMT agreed to substitute ArtNet for ArtFact.
4. Topic: FY06 Serial Review preparations: database funds
Because ERC no longer exists, it will fall to CMT to review the general databases. The new fund structure, with databases assigned to departmental fund lines, will also impact the review.
