1. Topic: Agenda review

Outcome: no changes

2. Topic: FY06 Serial Review - databases

Outcome: CMT reviewed the instructions and timeline for database review. The final version of the document will be posted on the Serial Review web site and shared with selectors.

3. Topic: FY06 Serial Review - meetings with selectors

Outcome: CMT finalized the agenda and content for its October 17th and 20th introductory meetings with selectors.

4. Topic: MDL Vendor Day, November 7

On November 7, 9:30-4:30, vendors that MDL is considering for FY07 consortial subscriptions, including Ebsco, CSA, Proquest, Gale, Alexander Street, Paratext and NetLibrary, will be showing their new 2006 e-resources at Capitol College in Laurel. Trials for these resources will be available in January.

Outcome: Collaborative representatives or individual selectors are invited to attend.

5. Topic: Announcements

• The budget proposal from the Maryland Higher Education Commission includes a request for $.5M to fund MDL. If the budget is approved when the General Assembly meets (from January - April, 2006), some portion of that amount would be used for electronic resources. (Betty)
• UM is in the initial stages of working to incorporate Google Scholar into the digital resources. More details will be provided as the project progresses. (Betty)
