1. Topic: Agenda review

Outcome: Addition of item V (Print versus Electronic Blackwell slips)

2. Topic: Review change in policy for cataloging microfilm purchased to replace brittle books

Guests: John Schalow and Gordana Ruth

To fill a roll of microfilm, many microfilm reformatting vendors include titles other than that specifically ordered by UM Libraries. To streamline operations, Technical Services plans to provide full cataloging for the item being replaced from our collection and add title and author notes for the additional title(s) on the reel.

Outcome: CMT was in agreement with the proposed microfilm cataloging policy change.

3. Topic: FY06 Serial Review - journals

Outcome: Proposed tier and descriptions of CMT-managed journals are due in mid-January.

4. Topic: CLD Funding

Betty reviewed the proposal that will go to CLD on Thursday for centrally funded electronic resources and the FY07 budget proposal.

Outcome: Susanna and Betty will visit the collaboratives to review the implications of USMAI budget proposals for Serial Review and Big Ticket processes.

5. Topic: Print versus Electronic slips from Blackwell

CMT discussed the move from print to electronic forms from Blackwell.

Outcome: Pat Adams will be here in early December to train staff and address questions

6. Topic: Announcements

• Because there were so many new resources demonstrated at the big MDL Vendor Day with which selectors should be familiar, UMCP will host a mini-Vendor Day. Details forthcoming. (Betty)
• Shelf space needs to be created in order to incorporate the CLIS collection into McKeldin. Stacks staff will "lilac slip" monographs in the LC call number series of H, L, and P. Any book published in 1985 or earlier that has not circulated in 20 years will be transferred to MOSS. Sets will not be separated. (Susanna)
• Susanna provided an update on plans for the upcoming Serial Review Kickoff Meeting.
