DIT Mission Statement

1. Creating Consistency across Special Collections Web Pages

   The Digital Initiatives Team will be responsible for creating consistency of basic informational content across all Special Collections web pages. The team will reassess the Special Collections web pages on a regular basis and provide guidance to units to help them achieve these goals.

2. Sharing Information

   The Digital Initiatives Team will keep Special Collections staff informed of policy decisions regarding digital projects, as well as soliciting advice/input from staff when new policies are being created.

3. Maintaining an inventory of digital project ideas in Special Collections

   The Digital Initiatives Team will conduct regular surveys of digital project ideas.

4. Training

   The Digital Initiatives Team will identify needs of special collections staff in terms of technology training and work with other relevant teams and units to facilitate training opportunities.

5. Special Projects

   The Digital Initiatives Team will work on special projects as needed.
