Maryland History and Culture Team
Work Plan 2007
- Maryland History and Culture Collaborative: Continue to work with this statewide group to strengthen communication between information professionals who deal specifically with materials relating to Maryland History and Culture. This will be done via meetings, a reflector list, and the blog. Some specific activities include:
- Visiting repositories across the state, for example, Enoch Pratt, Maryland Historical Society, Frederick County Public Library
- Participating in monthly themed discussions on the blog
- Contributing to the Maryland Repository directory set up by Enoch Pratt
- Electronic State Documents: Stay informed about activities of statewide task force
- Continue work developing a comprehensive collection policy for Maryland studies.
- Ideally, each member of the team will write at least one more collection policy in a particular subject area in 2007. For existing policies, please see:
- Guide Harmonization: Because many of the subject guides available mesh with subject areas identified in our collection policy, we will review our web sites to eliminate redundancy, as well as to provide key access points.
- Continue to share information about collection acquisitions and potential purchases.
- 2007 Maryland-related exhibits
