Special Collections Orientation and Training Team
Charge
This group will coordinate the orientation & training of new staff, including graduate and student assistants, ensuring that all new staff will receive a solid knowledge base as they begin working in Special Collections in Hornbake Library. The team will be responsible for:
- Developing and coordinating orientation tours of Hornbake Library for new library staff, especially Special Collections staff, and general library staff.
- Coordinating and disseminating relevant library staff information related to Hornbake Library.
- Identifying training priorities for Special Collections staff.
- Facilitating and coordinating training for Special Collection staff.
- Serving as a point of contact for tours for on- and off-campus individuals and groups.
- Collaborating with the Staff Education Coordinating Team (SECT).
