What signatures are needed for book orders? Orders for any one-time purchase under $1,000 need only be signed by the authorized fund manager. If the order is for more than $1,000, send the order to the Director of Collection Management and Special Collections for approval. If a second collection manager wants to contribute funds, attach a note explaining the transfer needed and send the MRF to the Collection Management Team Leader. What signatures are needed for serial orders? All orders for any continuing commitment of funds must be signed by the authorized fund manager and then sent to the Collection Management Team Leader. The Collection Management Team leader will arrange for the signature of the Director of Collection Management and Special Collections. Serial orders that are also electronic resources will also require the signature of the Electronic Resources Manager (see below). What signatures are needed for standing orders? Standing orders are serials. All orders for any continuing commitment of funds must be signed by the authorized fund manager and then sent to the Collection Management Team Leader. The Collection Management Team leader will arrange for the signature of the Director of Collection Management and Special Collections. What signatures are needed for orders of back runs of a journal? Such orders are considered one-time purchases and only require the signature of the fund manager. Such orders should be placed against a monographic fund and sent to the serials section in Acquisitions. What signatures are needed for electronic resource orders? All orders for paid electronic resources should be developed in consultation with the Electronic Resources Manager. Orders requiring the new expenditure of funds must be signed by the authorized fund manager and then sent to the Collection Management Team leader who will arrange for the signature of the Director of Collection Management and Special Collections and the Electronic Resources Manager. Requests for free electronic resources can be signed by the collection manager and sent directly to the Electronic Resources Manager without further signatures. What signatures are needed to cancel a serial orders? All journal cancellation forms must be signed by the authorized fund manager and then sent to the Collection Management Team Leader. The Collection Management Team leader will arrange for the signature of the Director of Collection Management and Special Collections. |
