The Cold War Database

This searchable database was developed by librarians and archivists for use in conjunction with the UMCP College Park Scholars program research course The Cold War. It includes primary and secondary sources in print, online, microform, audio and video/film formats produced during, or about, the period in history known as the Cold War, from the end of World War II to Perestroika (1945 to 1991.) The links can be sorted and searched by a number of attributes: title, author, publication date, format, subject, geographic area, or time period. The entire database may also be searched using keywords. Most of the online resources linked here are free; however, others are restricted to University of Maryland at College Park students, faculty and staff due to licensing restrictions. These resources will be marked UM Only. All of the call numbers and locations (except for online) refer to the University of Maryland at College Park Libraries.
