Off-Campus Access to Library Resources
How do I connect to databases and e-journals from off-campus?
Use Research Port to access databases and e-journals remotely. Log in with the barcode number on the back of your ID and your last name.
Research Port is a gateway to all our databases and e-journals. You can search multiple databases at once, save and email yourself articles, and use the Libraries' most comprehensive list of full-text e-journals.
MdUSA will not be available after Dec. 31, 2003. You may still use WAM and VPN, if you prefer.
The general public may access the online catalog of UM Libraries and the University System of Maryland. The catalog is available at http://catalog.umd.edu/search=basic&base=cp.
Most databases, reference works, and e-journals are restricted to current students, faculty, and staff at the University of Maryland.
The general public may access free resources in Research Port.
Alumni and affiliates may access the Libraries' catalog from off-campus. Most databases and e-journals are accessible to you on-campus only. See the Alumni Association's Member Benefits page for more information about library benefits.
