Coverage includes all U.S. states, most U.S. territories and possessions, and some areas outside the U.S. For more on the Map Collection, see Brief Guide to the Map Collection. Additionally, there are two GIS (Geographic Information System) workstations and a collection of digital spatial data. The GIS workstations are located in the computer room on the 4th floor of McKeldin and are available for use during the normal operating hours of McKeldin Library. For more on the data collection, see GIS Resources at U.S. Government Information, Maps & GIS Services. For information on using the GIS workstations and GIS Help, please contact gis@umd.edu, 301-314-1355, or 301-405-9167 to schedule an appointment.
