The University of Maryland is a Federal
Depository Library. We receive government publications distributed
through the U.S. Federal Depository
Library Program (Title 44, USC). Our
collection of over 2 million documents contains materials available in various
formats (paper, microfiche,
microfilm, electronic). Our resources and
services are available to the public as well as
the University of Maryland community.
The University of Maryland has been a
Federal Depository Library since 1925
and the Regional Depository for Maryland,
Delaware, and the District of Columbia since 1965.

The Map Collection is home to
approximately 350,000 items, primarily
from U.S. Government sources. Coverage
includes all U.S. states,
most U.S. territories and possessions, and
some areas outside the U.S.

May Hours Change: Beginning Monday, May 5, the Government Documents Information Desk will open Mon-Fri at 11am. We will be closing at 5pm on May 21, 3pm May 22-23 and will be closed Sat-Mon May 24-26.
Commencement Hours: Commencement activities will take place on Thu-Fri May 22-23. Visitors may want to avoid campus on those days since parking may be a challenge.
Summer Hours: Beginning Tuesday, May 27, we will be reducing our desk hours for the summer. Please see the gray sidebar for hours.
