Copyright 2.0: Do Your Library Practices Pass the Bar?

Featured Speaker: Dr. Laura Gasaway, Professor of Law, University of North Carolina School of Law

Dr. Gasaway is the current Associate Dean and Professor of Law University of North Carolina School of Law. She teaches courses in Copyright Law and Cyberspace Law in the law school and Copyright Law for Librarians in the School of Information and Library Science. She is co-chair of the Section 108 Study Group for the National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program and the Copyright Office.
Dr. Gasaway will address such topics such as fair use and special libraries, the role of digital licenses and the liability of a library when copying for others.

METRO** Springfield Station
Passenger service from and to the station has been arranged. Attendees will be picked-up from the Springfield Metro Station at 8:30 and 9:30 am. The van is a red Windstar with an ENSCO sign in the window. The van will be at the Kiss and Ride area of the Springfield Metro Station. If you miss the van, please call 703-321-9000.
**If you plan to use Metro - you must contact Irene to schedule a pickup time. Pickup times are either 8:30 or 9:30 am.

Outer Loop For those approaching on the OUTER LOOP of the beltway:
Exit 54A (Braddock Road West) At the end of the off-ramp, bear to the left and go straight through the traffic light, crossing Braddock Road. You are now on Port Royal Road. (there is a Mobil Gas Station on the right) Continue approximately 5/10 of a mile, ENSCO is the 2-story building with a pink and gray facade on the right.
West From 66 FROM: Manassas, Vienna area
Take 66 to 495 (towards Richmond and Alexandria) to Exit 54A (Braddock Road West) and follow above OUTER LOOP instructions.
Inner Loop For those approaching on the INNER LOOP of the beltway:
Exit 54A (Braddock Road West) You will need to be in the left lane on Braddock Rd. to make a left turn at the first light onto Port Royal Road. Continue approximately 5/10 of a mile, ENSCO is the 2-story building with a pink and gray facade on the right.

Points South
FROM: Springfield and Points South
Take 495 West (towards Tysons Corner) and Exit 54A (Braddock Road West) and follow above INNER LOOP instructions.
Parking is free. Parking is available on the far side of the building and on the street in front of and across the street from the building.
