2004 Conference on American Literature in San Francisco

The Katherine Anne Porter Session at the forthcoming American Literature Association conference will be chaired by Alexandra Subramanian, an independent scholar located near Philadephia, Pennsylvania. The topic for the session will be "International Influences on Katherine Anne Porter's Life and Writings." Anyone interested in submitting a proposal should send a 150-word abstract to Alexandra Subramanian, 864 Neighbors Way, Perkasie, PA 18911. Her e-mail address is alexandra.subramanian@verizon.net. The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2003.

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency (Embarcadero Center), San Francisco, California, May 27-30, 2004. The location is a downtown luxury hotel on the San Francisco Bay in the Financial District, part of the eight-block Embarcadero Center, convenient to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Moscone Convention Center, Ghirardelli Square, North Beach and Union Square.
