2012 American Literature Association Conference in San Francisco
The Katherine Anne Porter session at the twenty-third annual American Literature Association conference will be chaired by Dr. Jerry Findley. The session will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of Ship of Fools. Entitled "Ship of Fools 50th Anniversary: A Panel Discussion," the participants include Thomas Austenfeld, University of Fribourg; Beth (Ruth M.) Alvarez, University of Maryland; Darlene Unrue, University of Nevada at Los Vegas; and Alexandra Subramanian, President of the Katherine Anne Porter Society. The panel discussion will take place on Friday, May 25, from 5:10 pm to 6:30 pm. The society's business meeting will take place at 8:10 am on Saturday, May 26.
