The Chester Coleman Collection

The Chester Coleman Collection contains over 250 recordings from national convention sessions and meetings of the National Association of Broadcasters and the National Radio Brokers Association from 1978-1990. These tapes provide insight into the issues of programming, sales, engineering and other areas of the radio broadcasting industry during this period.

Also included in this collection are many radio format demonstration and promotion tapes of the 1970s and 1980s. These tapes were distributed to promote a particular radio music format or program such as "Country Coast to Coast" or "Z-Rock". These recordings provide a time capsule of the period.

Chester Coleman of American Radio Brokers, Inc. donated this collection to the Library of American Broadcasting in 1997.
