SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTES

The George C. Davis collection covers the years 1949 to 1969 and contains some undated material. The collection contains information related to television and radio broadcasting; general engineering material; lighting technical information; and letters and memoranda.


SERIES DESCRIPTIONS

Series 1: Engineering material, 1949-1969, n.d. (2 lin.ft.)

This series comprises information on radio and television broadcast engineering, including lighting, video systems, antennas, and stereo sound. It contains material on early forms of CATV (Community Antenna Television) the precursor of modern cable. The series includes journal articles; unpublished technical papers; wiring diagrams; blueprints; corporate promotional material from the Kliegl Bros. and General Electric companies; memoranda; and Federal Communications Commission bulletins and information. Each folder is arranged chronologically, with undated material placed at the end.
