 - August 27: Begins broadcasting for Lipton's Tea. Tuesday evenings 9:00pm to 9:30pm.
- September 17: First and only broadcast from Utah.

- February 24: Breaks 3 year contract with Lipton in dispute over commercial placement between interviews and gifts.
- May 20: "Paraplegic's Housewarming". Maritime Beach. Brooklyn, New York. Final Lipton broadcast. Final war-related broadcast.
 - October 1: "The Unconquered". Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Begins broadcasting for American Express Travelers Cheques on ABC, its final sponsor and network before going off the air. Wednesday evenings 8:30pm to 9:00pm.
- November 16: Los Angeles, California. Lou Costello, Jr. Youth Foundation. First Vox Pop program to be transcribed on tape and broadcast at a later date (December 24, 1947). Vox Pop would continue this practice several times before going off the air in 1948, most notably for visits to Alaska, Paris, and London.

- February 25: U.S. Air Force Ladd Field. Anchorage, Alaska. First of two broadcasts from Alaska, the second on March 3.
 - April 15: Paris, France. Transcribed program later broadcast April 21, 1948.
- April 28: London, England. Also transcribed program aboard U.S. Oceanliner "America" broadcast May 5, 1948.
- May 19: Lisbon, Maine. Final Vox Pop broadcast.
