| Station WDSU, New Orleans, LA. "Lifelines to Victory" a half-hour weekly all-soldier show, originated by WDSU, featuring the Transportation Corps at Camp Plauche, LA. Above picture shows S/Sgt. Bob Brown (l) and the 382nd Army Service Force Band. (Many of the musicians were formerly with big name bands.) Highlight of the broadcast are interviews with servicemen recently returned from the battlefronts...particularly members of the Transportation Corps who tell how this all important unit proved in many cases - the real Lifeline to Victory. | ||
