BooksThe Library maintains nearly 6000 volumes that provide researchers with information from programming histories to engineering manuals. Of particular interest are books published in the 1920s and 1930s that trace the evolution of broadcasting from its earliest days. These books can now be found in the catalog,of the University of Maryland Libraries. The National Association of Broadcasters Library and Historical Archive, a major addition to LAB, arrived in June of 1998. This collection includes over 4000 books and periodicals. The NAB has also deposited 50 boxes of historical material, including early meeting and convention minutes, promotional materials, scrapbooks, newsletters and other NAB publications.
