Copyright and Credit
Be advised that under current Federal law all images produced after 1923 are most likely under some form of copyright protection.
These images are made freely available for purposes of scholarship and enjoyment. Reproduction for any other purpose is strongly discouraged. In making these photographs available to interested researchers, the Library of American Broadcasting makes no claims of intellectual ownership or control.
In all instances when a copy is made, the Library keeps the copy negatives and patrons
are asked to sign a "Notification of Intent to Publish Photographic Images" waiver. If an image is intended for commercial use and
LAB holds the copyright, the Library will charge an additional fee
based on type of usage. If LAB does not own the copyright, the
researcher is required to contact the copyright holder for
permission.
All publication of Library of American Broadcasting materials must bear the credit line:
Library of American Broadcasting, University of Maryland
