MARAC Ad Hoc Committees
Ad Hoc Committee on Membership Services
Committee:
Cheryl Stadel-Bevans, National Archives and Records Administration
Barbara O'Brien, McDaniel College
Rob Jenson, Montgomery County Historical Society
The MARAC Steering Committee is considering changes to its business practices, including expanded or additional member services. The Steering Committee is seeking input from all MARAC members about how desirable these additional services might be. Some enhanced or new services have a higher cost, which would be passed on to members in larger dues increases or meeting fee increases. Therefore, it is important that each MARAC member take the time to complete this online survey to inform the Steering Committee of your preferences and priorities.
Please click the link to take the survey: Take the Survey (survey will open in a new window)
Most people will complete the survey in less than 15 minutes. The survey will be accessible until 11:59 PM EDT on Friday, April 25, 2008. If you have any questions about the survey, or any difficulty with completing it, please contact one of us.
On behalf of the MARAC Steering Committee and the Ad Hoc Committee on Membership Services, we thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.

appointed February 2008
Committee members:

Daniel J. Linke, Princeton University Library
Diana Shenk, Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) works for archival advocacy and education for archivists and other keepers of historical records. In order to adequately serve its 1,100 members, MARAC needs to expand its services to include a stronger online presence. New technologies have changed the expectations of the types of services that members desire from the organization. The Ad Hoc Committee on Administrative Service was appointed to review proposals from motivated firms to automate and streamline many of its traditional baseline services.
