Because of licensing agreements, access to bibliographic databases
and electronic journals is restricted to UM faculty, staff, and

- SIC and NAICS codes may be useful in finding specific industry information. The Census Department Home Page has links to SIC and NAICS codes. SIC and NAICS from Census

- To easily find SIC or NAICS codes assigned to a specific company
use the following databases using the Company Name search option.
- Business & Company Resource Center
- Execute your search in the Company window, when looking at the company profile scroll down page until list of SIC/NAICS codes.
- RDS Business & Industry
- Use the Words and Phrases option to do a keyword search on your topic. Select appropriate article. Scroll to bottom of screen, look for product code (SIC code) assigned. Type that code in the SIC box for a product specific search.

- 1994- Current. Broad-based international business information database that focuses on facts, figures, events and market information about companies, industries, products and markets.
Together with RDS Tablebase can be searched for articles and statistics on market size. Use Concept Term table to select market size as a concept, combine with the SIC code line, to get information on a specific industry's market size.
