Locating Short Stories

    Catalog (To locate a specific short story)
    Choose the word/s anywhere search option and type the author's last name and keywords from the title of the short story. EXAMPLE: harper two offers. Examine your search results for books that may include the short story as part of a collection. The title of the short story may appear as part of the title of the work or it may appear in the table of contents.

    Catalog (To locate short story collections of a specific author)
    Choose the author beginning with ... search option, type in the author's name (last name, first name). EXAMPLE: marshall, paule. Examine your search results for books that mention "collected works of...", "complete works of...", "...and other stories", "collected short stories of...", "selected writings of...", etc.

    Catalog (To locate collections of short stories written by African Americans)
    Choose the word/s anywhere search option and type in the following words
    afr* american* short stor* OR afr* american* literary collections.

    Short Story Index. McKeldin Reference Stacks Z5917.S5S5
    Check each volume for collections that may include your short story. Then check the Catalog to see if the library owns any of these collections of short stories.
