Resources compiled and Web page created by Dr. Barbara Nail-Chiwetalu, UM Libraries
This Web page contains links to electronic and print resources to assist students with the research process for assignments in the spring 2005, HESP 407: Bases of Hearing Science. For a complete list of electronic resources available to University of Maryland faculty, staff, and students, as well as information about the full range of library materials and services, consult the UM Libraries' home page.
Because of licensing agreements, access to most bibliographic databases and electronic journals is restricted to UM faculty, staff, and students. These may be accessed from off campus, consult Off-Campus Access to Library Resources for further information.
Use the Catalog to find books or other materials on a topic or to determine which journals we own at this campus (or other campuses in the University System of Maryland).
Find books on a topic by selecting word/s anywhere from the drop-down box. Type in terms that describe your topic, e.g., dolphins AND (sound or echolocation).
Find a journal title by clicking on the word JOURNALS at the top of the screen. Select title beginning with... from the drop-down box. Type the full name of the journal title, e.g., Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, in the search box.
See the Catalog guide for more detailed information about searching.
