  • Palestinian Talmud (Yerushalmi): There is no satisfactory translation of the entire Talmud Yerushalmi into English.
    • You may use individual tractates from the Neusner Talmud of the Land of Israel series (e.g. Tractate Pesahim), BM498.5 .E5 1982, but the translation as a whole is problematic.
    • Schottenstein edition of Zerai‘im (not yet reviewed by me) Folio, BM498.5 .E5 2005.

RAMBI (Reshimat Ma'amarim Be'mada'e Ha-yahadut) OR Index of Articles on Jewish Studies
Bibliography of articles in the various fields of Jewish studies and in the study of Eretz Israel. Material listed in Rambi is compiled from thousands of periodicals and from collections of articles - in Hebrew, Yiddish, and European languages.

ATLA (American Theological Library Association) Religion Database
Articles, essays, and book reviews in over 1550 journals and multi-author works dealing with religious and theological scholarship. International in scope and language coverage. Covers all types of religions. Excellent coverage of Judaism.

Academic Search Premier
This database is very general and multidisciplinary in nature. Provides abstracts and indexing for over 7,000 journals. Full text of articles for over 4,000 scholarly publications, including more than 3,100 peer-reviewed publications. Thus one needs to be mindful if the article you get is scholarly or not.

Women's Studies International
Covers issues in women's studies including feminist theory and history, family, mental & physical health, prejudice & gender discrimination, law & legislation, employment, religions, etc.

Art Abstracts
Provides comprehensive indexing and abstracts for 400+ international art publications, including periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins. Covers a broad range of art topics: advertising, archaeology, crafts, folk art, graphic arts, interior design, video, film, architecture and art history. Coverage is from 1984 to the present.

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals
The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals database offers a comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture and design, including bibliographic descriptions on subjects such as the history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation, and interior design and decoration.

LAnnée Philologique
Publications in European and other languages on multiple aspects of Greek and Roman antiquity, including literature and linguistics, history, philosophy, art, religion, music, and science, from the second millennium B.C.E. to the early Middle Ages (ca. 500-800 C.E.).

You can find them by the title of the journal (not the article). If you are in the initial stages of your research, and don't have a list of articles to look up yet, we recommend that you search databases first.
