Description
This collection contains approximately 20,000 research reports on U.S. and Canadian firms each year by sixty major securities and institutional investment firms. It includes both company and industrial reports.
Reports for 1983 are arranged first by investment banking firm name and then by company report code. Beginning with 1984, reports are filed sequentially by control number (e.g., "84-01").
Company reports: in-depth analysis and financial data for over 7,000 companies yearly.
Industry reports: approximately 2,800 reports on over 400 industries yearly.
These reports are particularly useful for obtaining information about career opportunities, product evaluations, financial data, economic trends, industry statistics, new technologies and changes in company status (mergers, acquisitions, subsidiaries).
The index must be consulted for access to this collection. Each annual index identifies reports appearing in the previous aalendar year (e.g., use the 1985 index for 1984 reports). It contains four parts arranged by:
- investment banking firm (research reports)
- investment banking firm (periodical articles)
- company name (research reports)
- industry (subdivided by investment banking firm, then by company name)
Import Note: For 1983 reports the user must have the following information to access this collection: investment banking firm name and research report code number. For 1984 and later reports the control number alone is sufficient to locate a specific report.
