Disclosure, Inc. 10-K Reports and Annual Reports to Stockholders
DescriptionThe U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (S.E.C.) requires audited annual (10-K) reports of publicly held corporations. A selected group of 10-K reports is available on microfiche in McKeldin Library's Periodicals-Microforms Room. The collection includes the 10-K reports for the 500 largest industrial, the fifty largest retailing, and the fifty largest transportation companies as ranked in the May and July issues of Fortune magazine. (Copies of all corporate reports required by the S.E.C. are available in their Washington, D.C. office.). The collection also includes fifty Maryland-based companies. (A list of the fifty Maryland-companies can be found below in the notes.) Annual reports (indicated by an orange header on each microfiche) were received from 1969 through 1971. 10-K reports (indicated by a white header on each microfiche) have been received from 1972-1983. 10-K reports for the retailing, transportation and Maryland companies received from 1978-1983
The reports are filed in one alphabetical sequence by company name, and then chronologically under each company.
For more current annual reports, see the microfiche collection: SEC-File. When a company is no longer listed, the previous reports of the company are retained in the microfiche collection. The Fortune Double 500 Directory of the Larqest U.S. Industrial Corporations (Ref HG 4057.A25 Folio). This Directory lists the 100 largest U.S. industrial corporations and the fifty largest commercial banking, life insurance, diversified financial, retailing, transportation, and utility companies. This publication is usually about fifteen months out of date. The most recent information can be found in the May and July issues of Fortune magazine each year. Maryland-Based Companies:
