Description
This collection reproduces selected titles from Pollard and Redgrave's
Short-title Catalogue. Only those items which have been located
by the compilers are included.
Titles were not filmed in the order in which they appear in Pollard and
Redgrave's Short-title Catalogue (STC). Instead they are filmed
as they are located in various libraries.
The most recent Cross Index (REF Z 2002.U573) links STC
numbers with reel numbers. It is arranged by STC numbers. The
Cross Index should be used in order to determine which titles
have been filmed to date. Subsequently filmed titles are listed in more
recent issues of the Guide (see above, same call number).
The library's copy of the STC is partially annotated with
STC numbers. Recently filmed titles listed in issues of
the Guide which were published after the cumulative
Cross Index was compiled are annotated in the STC
with reel numbers. Thus, by using the Cross Index along with
issues of the Guide which supplement it, one can locate all
titles which have been filmed to date. This microfilm collection is a
continuing project.
