The collection includes over three thousand German and Viennese plays and libretti published between 1740 and 1790.
Plays are apparently arranged without regard to chronology or author's surname.
The guide consists of the following sections: reel contents list, arranged numerically; author/anonymous works listing, arranged alphabetically; and title listing, arranged alphabetically. The reel and item numbers appear at the end of each entry.
