Journals of the Ship Lloyd. N. Pocock, Captain, 1767-1772.
DescriptionThe journals are log records of voyages from Bristol to America with copious drawings by the master, Nicholas Pocock. They chronicle seven voyages of the ship Lloyd to Charleston, South Carolina and the Island of Dominica, and they include descriptions of the harbors, muster rolls, records of the speed of the vessel and drawings of the ship in various types of weather.
The journals were filmed chronologically. A description and a bibliography are contained on reel one.
The original journals are in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich and in the possession of Miss Phyllis Rawlins, North Wales.
