Description
This is a rich collection of sacred, secular, instrumental and vocal works from established English and continental masters of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
The collection consists of three parts: Parts 1 and 2 include English manuscripts, and Part 3 continental music (primarily French and Italian). The manuscripts follow strict numerical order.
Each part of the collection comes complete with a comprehensive listing of manuscripts, which appears on the first reel of each part. The guides to the collection correspond to each of the three parts. Each reproduces the numerical listing of the manuscripts appearing in the corresponding part. In addition, the guide to Part 3 contains a complete listing, in numerical order, of all the manuscripts appearing in all three parts of the collection.
