Index to the James K. Polk PapersThe Index to the James K. Polk Papers lists documents in the collection by proper name, date and series. The Index arranges items primarily by correspondent and then chronologically if a name is repeated. Some subject entries are used. The Reel List in the front of the Index indicates on which reel a particular series, date of other information can be found.
