Description
This collection includes representative pictures of the Victoria and Albert Museum Collection of Metalwork taken from the Photographic Reference Library of the museum.
The material has been cataloged by the museum staff according to the subject headings in the index. In most sections the works are grouped alphabetically by country of origin, and then by date, in chronological order.
Each m-fiche includes an eye-legible title strip, which notes both section and sub-section of the collection. The title strip also incorporates a sequential fiche number with letter prefix; the printed index which accompanies the fiche refers to the subjects and sections by this number.
The Victoria and Albert Collection is one of the most significant art collections in the world.
