Hugh V. Cordier

Hugh Cordier started his career in public broadcasting in 1940, working as a broadcaster and a teacher at Michigan State University, Alleghany College, the University of Illinois, and the University of Iowa. He served on the Boards of Directors of National Educational Radio and the National Association of Educational Broadcasters. He was active in the formation of the Association of Public Radio Stations and served as its first Board Chairman.

Hugh Cordier discusses all of these activities, as well as the early history of WSUI, and the development of the present structure of public radio.
