Albert P. Fredette, one of the founders of the Eastern Educational Radio Network, was manager of WAMC (Albany, NY) and of the Albany Medical College's two-way radio system for continuing education in medicine since 1958. He was also an active and vocal member of the board of directors of most national organizations concerned with public radio including NAEB, NER and NPR, and is familiarly known in both Congress and the FCC.

In this interview, Fredette talks about WAMC, early efforts at live networking, and his hopes for the future, both for WAMC and public radio in general.

Albert P. Fredette died in 1992.
