Burton Paulu

Burton Paulu was connected with broadcasting at the University of Minnesota for almost fifty years, from 1929 to 1978. During his long career, Dr. Paulu was active on the national scene in educational broadcasting. He served ten years on the NAEB Board, including two years as president. He is the author of many books about European broadcasting systems.

In this interview, Burton Paulu talks about the early history of KUOM at the University of Minnesota and about the history of non-commercial radio in general. He also compares broadcasting in the United States with broadcasting in England and on the European continent.
