I. Keith Tyler has devoted his career to the advancement of education by means of broadcasting, mostly radio. At the time of this interview, Tyler has spent 43 years on the faculty of Ohio State University. For twenty-seven of those years he was Director of the Ohio Institute for Education by Radio-Television.

In this interview, Dr. Tyler talks about the Ohio State Institutes, what they were intended to do, and what he thinks they accomplished. He also discusses the use of radio in education, and describes the activities which led to the reservation of television channels for public and educational use.
