Abstract
Arthur A. Paul started his public broadcasting career as a production intern and announcer for WTTW-TV of Chicago from 1958 to 1960. He later worked for various stations including KUAT-TV, Tucson, WCNY-TV, Syracuse and KVIE, Sacramento. He co-founded the Association of California Public Television Stations and was twice its president. Paul served on the board of directors of both regional and national organizations: Western Educational Network, the Indiana Public Broadcasting Society and the Public Broadcasting Service. The collection documents Paul's involvement with the Public Broadcasting Service in the 1970s. Notable topics include the Public Television Library, long range programming, community service grants, and the conflict between the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the Public Broadcasting Service.
