Instructional Television Fixed Service (ITFS)

Administrative History/Information:

• began as a result of an FCC resolution dated July 30, 1963 which established the 2500-2690 mc band for educational uses:
  • technical facilities for distributing television lessons to participating schools
  • interconnecting open broadcast and closed-circuit systems
