- first to represent broadcasters before the Federal Radio Commission
- built the third FM broadcasting station in the country: W3XO in 1938 and operated it until 1946
- did extensive field measurements for stations across the country
- incorporated in 1953
- became a subsidiary of Atlantic Research Corporation in 1959 and a division in 1960
