- Albany Medical College received a small grant from the Rockefeller Foundation to broadcast two-way radio conferences among physicians: 1955
- pilot program of six hospitals grew to 24 hospitals in the first 18 months
- WAMC-FM activated: 1958
- WAMC carried first live hearing from Washington, DC on FCC and program practices: 1962
- Began carrying NPR programs: 1970
