Administrative History/Information:
- Idea first proposed at a Western Radio and Television Conference: Jan. 1965
- Western Educational Network formally approved at Disneyland, Anaheim, California: February 1967, beginning operations July 1, 1967
- WEN later merged with Rocky Mountain Network to become the Pacific Mountain Network
