Legacy Resource Management Program Files
The
Legacy Resource Management Program was created as a result of the Department
of Defense Appropriation Act of 1991. The Program was designed to identify,
protect, and maintain natural and cultural resources on all lands under
Department of Defense jurisdiction or influence. The Navy Legacy Files
include proposals for preservation training materials, minutes from meetings
and workshops, general correspondence, and administrative and financial
oversight of the program. The National Trust Library's general stacks also
house substantial Legacy publications on natural and cultural resources
preservation.
