John Browning was born in 1933 in Denver, CO. and died in Sister Bay, Wisconsin on January 26, 2003. He played his first public concert at the age of 10. His professional debut, as a result of winning the Leventritt Competition, took place in 1956 with the New York Philharmonic. Browning's performing activity took him all over the world from Asia to Central America to Europe. Browning made numerous recordings for the Capitol, RCA Victor, Delos and DG labels.
